Toronto, October 6, 2016 – Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) is pleased to announce Alona Metzer as the recipient of the 2016 Deluxe Producer Internship. The internship is designed to provide significant, post-production knowledge and industry contacts for a female producer with two to five years of production experience.

The Deluxe Producer Internship is an intensive three-week post-production program that includes critical hands on training about production planning as it relates to post, budgeting, dailies, picture and sound completion, VFX, and distribution.

ABOUT ALONA METZER:
Alona Metzer is a Toronto-based producer and actor. Alona graduated from the David Mamet and William H. Macy conservatory program, at the Atlantic Acting School in NYC in 2010. Since then, she has produced and starred in several short films including MARINER (2016) which recently had its World Premiere as part of the Official Selection, 2016 Short Cuts programme at TIFF. Alona is currently producing the short film EROS, and is in development on another short film STRANGER, with director Shervin Kermani.
